The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Frank L. Baum was the
inspiration for the classic movie that is now a piece of American history. Thomas Kinkade wanted to release Wizard of Oz this year (2010) based upon the timeless movie and to commemorate it's 70th anniversary.
